Event Brief

• Exciting team-based mathematics challenge.
• Tests speed, accuracy, logical reasoning, and teamwork.
• Follows a relay race format – each player must solve their challenge before the next can begin.
• After the first five challenges, the event ends with a rapid-fire round.
• The rapid-fire round decides the ultimate winner.

Round Structure

• Round 1 – Relay Challenges
  • 5 members per team.
  • Relay style: next player starts after previous finishes.
  • 5 challenges (30–90 sec each). Total time: ~5 mins.
  • Calculator allowed (penalty –9/10 points).
  • Bonus: Finish early = extra points (–1 point / 4 sec saved).
• Round 2 – Rapid Fire
  • 10 questions to both teams simultaneously.
  • 5 sec to answer each.

Scoring:

• 1st team correct: +7 | Wrong: –3
• Passed to 2nd team: Correct: +4 | Wrong: –2
• No answer: Skipped

Rules and Regulations

• Each team must have 5 participants.
• Relay challenges must be completed in sequence.
• Misconduct or unfair means = disqualification.
• Calculator use is penalized as per rules.
• Judges’ decision is final and binding.

Judging Criteria

• Teams must complete all five relay challenges within the time frame.
• The Rapid Fire round determines the winner based on points.
• In case of a tie, the time taken in the relay round will be the deciding factor.
