Event Brief

  • Purpose: The Poster Presentation Competition provides a platform for engineering students to showcase their technical ideas and research in a clear, visual, and innovative manner. It aims to enhance communication skills, promote creativity, and encourage interdisciplinary learning.
  • Goal: Explain working, concept, and application clearly and engagingly.

Poster Format

  • Size: 30 × 42 inches
  • Orientation: Portrait only

Poster Structure

  • Title & Author Details: Title in bold & large font, Name(s), Institute/Organization, Contact info
  • Introduction: Brief background/context of the problem
  • Objectives / Problem Statement: Clearly state aim of the work
  • Methodology: Use diagrams, flowcharts, or block diagrams; avoid lengthy text
  • Results & Discussion: Prefer graphs, charts, tables over paragraphs
  • Conclusion: Summarize major findings or contributions
  • References: 3–4 key references (if necessary)

Rules and Regulations

  • Submit/verify posters by deadline (soft copy if required).
  • Carry printed poster; stands/boards provided by organizers.
  • Team size: 2–3 participants (if applicable).
  • Posters must avoid offensive or unrelated content.
  • Judges’ decision is final and binding.
  • All work must be original; plagiarism = disqualification.

Design Rules

  • Use clear fonts: Arial, Calibri, Times New Roman recommended.
  • Minimum font size:
    • Title: 72 pt
    • Headings: 36–40 pt
    • Body text: 24 pt
  • Ensure readability from 3–4 feet away.
  • Maintain visual balance (text, images, white space).
  • Use high-quality images/figures; avoid overcrowding.
  • Keep text concise and precise.

Presentation Rules

  • Each participant must be present with their poster during judging.
  • Presentation time: 5–7 minutes + Q&A.
  • Poster should be self-explanatory.
  • Be ready to explain technical details if asked.
